GAH! WHAT IS IT WITH ME AND BROKEN BRIDGES IN GAMES THAT REFUSE TO REPAIR?!
Lets see, Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga, I have a literal Broken Bridge that will never repair. In Megaman X: Command Mission, it is the exact same damned thing. Usually these are bridges that I have gotten past in previous play throughs, then this time around they refuse to fix--to quite bewildering levels o frustration.
I think I have much the same for Pokemon Ranger.
I head outside today, to see Larry's Tailow attacking a Plusle. After about an hour of trying to capture the bloody Tailow, allowing me to perfect my capture technique and find out that I could not have lost that battle no matter what...
I soft reset my NDS.
To try again. It should NOT take an hour to capture a Tailow. Tried it again--and...
NOT PLAYING THIS AGAIN!
As, since this Taillow refuses to be captured, I cannot run away, I cannot lose this battle, but more importantly: I cannot end the battle via a victory.
Going to find something else to fvck with.
I mean, yes, it did occur to me that this may be like some other games, where you can get into situations like this, if you do not talk to the right people before heading there, or doing the right skill (these are the games that Strategy Guides were created for). However, the Pokemon Series has never been one of these.
Between crap like this, and the blunt/fire resistant rats in the first mission of Oblivion, the lack of ability of Snake to operate a button in Twin Snakes, the REALLY bad controls of1 Sons o Liberty, my lack of knowledge on where to get 100 rings in Sonic 2006, the completely retarded play system of the GTA series (3 and beyond) and countless other retarded factors of games... I WANT TO START KILLING GAME DEVELOPERS!
