Never has a Pokemon game been more blatant about the fact that it is a cute fuzzy things pit fight series.

I downloaded the demo, and played it--not expecting much... yeah, I am more than likely going to buy it.

My current plans for my team:
* Magikarp (somehow, I suspect that the infamous FlailKarp may make an appearance in this game--I want to check that out)
* Ninetails--yeah... I am a sucker for Vulpix/Ninetails
* and... uh...

I somehow suspect that they will have made Beedrill and Seviper to be complete failmon... I dunno--I may look at those... but not expecting much.

I dunno, I really like how the demo seemed to play out. There is a demo for it on

Don't expect to keep a permanent team. You will be changing pokemon very, very frequently. You will get anywhere from three to nine new ones every stage, and they have fairly random levels of power and very random set of skills -- Though skills *are* limited to the type of pokemon they are somewhat, they are still very random. And can be changed even more so with a move buyer in the main lobby of the game, though this is also mostly useless as chances are very high that the next time you even play a stage you're going to end up getting a pokemon that is at least somewhat better than the one you're using or even up to twice as good.
Yeah--but this does not mean I cannot target certain Pokemon for use in the game. Which that was more what I was thinking of doing.

Though, it is nice to know that there is a fair amount of /dev/urandom in how they are setup.
