Really no idea why I bought this game.

Maybe I thought it would surprise me more. I was kind of hoping that they will eventually bring out Yoshi's Island for the Wii VC. They have Yoshi's Story--which IMO, was an abhorrent piece of crap on the N64.

Anyways, loaded this one up. Made more than a few mistakes in playing it, but ended up clearing Island 1: yoshi's island in about fifteen minutes. I kind of remember it being a little bit more tricky.

Though, it likely will get to be harder, if I start to get cocky about it.

It gets better, and some of the later levels are awesome. But at the risk of being flogged, I have to say that it is not as good as Yoshi's Island, which is the best game that came out on the SNES IMO.
@WILDMAMMOTH oh--yes, I loved Yoshi's Island on the SNES. Maybe it was not the best--but well, it is up there in the top five best SNES games if it was not.

And yush, I vaguely remember the later levels from when I owned this game on the SNES.

I personally liked the bonus rounds that are playable after clearing Star Road the best when I had this on the SNES.
Those levels are where the real challenge can be found.
