Okay... I am starting to get use to the people following me for no apparent reason. I do get a few people that I can understand it on. However it seems most people who are following me rarely seem to own a similar system, with the exception of a computer. I am guessing it is because I am fairly active on this site and when random active people are given for people who have not really said anything about themselves, I appear high on the list.

Okay, I can get this. I can appreciate this.

So, I have been going over my Spot Light over the last few days...

Why is so much stuff that is largely uninteresting appearing on here?

Okay, we have Aion on here. I really have no interest in the game. As having a root kit on my system does not make me think I am going to enjoy it.

So I do not click onto that one (despite it appearing a few times)

So I see a few other posts in my spot light on games I do not have. In one case we have a Guild Wars post. I really have no played much for MMOG, but this one I keep hearing, so I ask about it.

Next we have a bunch of people recommend for me because I happen to own Goldeneye, Half-life and now, thanks to Steam Day of Defeat, Counter Strike and Blue Shift.

None of which any actual plays of the game appear on my profile. But these games, that I own, but never play, apparently link me to this person who plays it all the time.

Then we have the people who are only matched, because they follow some people I follow. In the case where I have seen posts by them, or their profile looks interesting, than this may be worthy of a spotlight.

I apologise @Lairosiel, but I really have no idea why you have appeared as a spotlight for me. I really have no idea. But there you are--sharing no similar game interests, just a lot of the same people we both follow (I really do not recall seeing many posts by you either). I am sure your are a wonderful person... I really am... I just have no idea why you appeared in my spot light.

Then... I got a post. It targeted a few games, most of which are not in my DNA. It did not have any votes. Only one person had commented on this post.

Apparently the people who share my unique interests where interested in this post.

A whole whopping one person--who did not even vote it up.

I think I have just been told that nobody shares my interests in games. In a very subtle way, yes. But when, a spotlight of something, that nobody really found interesting, appears as something of, "this appears to suit your interests", and is for a game, I really do not care about, and nobody else seems to have bothered with that post... I have to wonder if this site is simply saying, "you know what? Nobody cares you pretentious bitch"

Now, my cramps are acting up again--I bid you adu.

Girl's name in username on a gaming site = followers
@pongsifu right--I cannot confess to understanding this idea.

I mean--I really s not hard to talk to women. I have been known to walk up to them all the time and chat it up.

What I do not get is why so many guys are so nervous and shy around women.

Women do not want the shy sensitive type.

We want somebody we can protect. THIS is why we go after assholes. It is this strange and odd desire to nuture.

It is pretty much akin to why some guys like the whole damsel in distress thing. It gives them the desire to nurture and protect the woman.

Though, just like how if a girl goes out of there way to get nearly injured, if a guy acts like a jerk too much, there is going to be no interest in the matter.

THIS is why the arrogant jerk wins out against te shy sensitive guy. We want to well--protect them from the stuff their social ineptness causes for them.
