KatrinaTheLamia reviews Super Metroid (WII)

Got this game because everybody was telling me how awesome the Metroid series was, an that I didn't get it because I haven't played this game in the series (sounds like bad logic to me... maybe I misinterpreted this?).

Anyways playing through this. It is decent platformer. Not necessarily having new or interesting traits (so far). I am wondering if I am enjoying playing this, simply because I think I should be enjoying it.

Cannot see any of the major flaws associated with the genre present so far. Graphics and Music seem fairly decent for the era it is from (for bad graphics in this era, see LoZ:LttP, Ug! My eyes bleed when I try to play that). Gameplay... well from what I gathered, it is fairly standard gameplay for a 2D Platformer. Maybe it has a very compelling story that makes people such fanboys of this series?
