New Releases: What upcoming games are you looking forward to?
Not a bad game.
But not the "fight everyone everywhere" sort of thing it was advertised as. The character Roster seems limited to a few key characters from the 4Kids Series. That is, from what I have seen so far.
The art style of the inbetween clips seems to resemble an old comic book type of style. I suppose to pay homage to the Eastman and Laird black and white comic that started it all. Which is why it really is not a surprise that Bebop and Rocksteady do not appear.
The actually fighting though, is closer to TMNT-2007 in how it is done. Which was, in all essence a good movie. Even if it was more based on the world 4Kids created.
I really admit to feeling limited in the character choices.
But then, I had two of the three source books for the Archie Comics version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles when I was growing up. So--I guess I may have been hoping for a bit much when I kind of wanted Rapheal's Kitsune girlfriend from the comic to show up sometime. Though, I would have settled for the female turtle from the live action Ninja Turtles series.
It is not "Fight everyone, anywhere" like the Tv spots suggested--but it is a decent start on this.
